Dr. Hood is a board-certified foot and ankle specialist treating patients at the Flemington and Washington, NJ offices with MidJersey Orthopaedics.

Dr. Hood graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a bachelors in biology. He then attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, earning his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Hood completed his residency training in foot and ankle surgery at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. Upon completion, he was awarded a foot and ankle reconstruction fellowship at Premier Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Malvern, PA (American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery - Pennsylvania Intensive Lower Extremity Fellowship).

Since completing training, Dr. Hood has worked in both orthopedic and podiatric office settings, gaining a large breadth of knowledge and experience in pathology from general podiatry to foot and ankle reconstruction/trauma/surgical medicine. This has shaped his practice interest to offer a wide array of treatments for foot and ankle medicine. He was named a Main Line Today magazine Top Doc (Podiatry) in 2016, 2017, and 2018, and a Future Star in Podiatry 2018 by Podiatry Management magazine. Since residency, he has published or presented dozens of peer-reviewed articles and posters and co-authored 2 book chapters. He also is the editor-in-chief of Board Wizards and DPMQuestions, both podiatric board review website programs.

Dr. Hood is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle (RRA) medicine. His area of interest includes sports medicine, elective and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, fracture care, ligament and tendon injuries, and general podiatry (warts, ingrown, fungal infection, orthotics).
